Gather all of the “Greens” and get juicing! |
The new year has begun and a majority of new year resolutions are related to eating more healthy, starting a diet or improving one’s health in some way. Health is always a good choice with the start of a new year and everyday of the year. Eating more fruits and vegetables is always difficult and this is why a healthy green juice is the perfect choice. For those who don’t eat or like vegetables adding fruits and blending them into a delicious juice creates a satisfying drink for all. A mixture of any fruits and vegetables is always acceptable but in this blog post I am going to highlight only “green” fruits and veggies and share the juice I always make.
First you will need a food processor, blender or juicer. I personally love the 77 Watt Ninja Personal Blender. It is perfect for smoothies, juicing, frozen blending and food prep. It pulverizes nicely and comes with two cups and lids. Also love the suction cup feature at the bottom of the Ninja which enables you to walk away while blending and it stays in place. This model also is amazing when crushing and incorporating ice. Extremely powerful, it is my top choice. This Ninja model is available to purchase with my Amazon affiliate link below:

Now it’s time to collect your ingredients! In staying with the “green” theme of this delicious and nutritious juice we will only use green fruits, veggies and herbs. And always allow for fresh ginger and turmeric which are not green but blend well in any smoothie or juice.
Freshly washed spinach or kale leaves.
Celery cleaned and chopped.
Mint and or Parsley leaves.
Cucumber peeled and chopped
Kiwi peeled and chopped.
Green Apple cored and peeled or unpeeled and chopped
Ginger or/and Turmeric peeled and grated or
Lime freshly squeezed juice
Filtered Water
After prepping all of your ingredients it’s time to create your juice. You can create a single serving or make multiple servings for the week. I usually prep and make for the week as it provides me with juice throughout the week. I use glass ball jars to store individual servings in the fridge. An old fashion storing solution and perfect for storing and keeping juice fresh. The jars are available to purchase with my Amazon affiliate link below:

Whether you blend for a single serve, for the week, or for a juice cleanse, once the prep is done its blending time. Simple, simple, simple…just add your ingredients to the blender or ninja with your filtered water to help emulsify and make juice smoother. Blend and add water until the consistency is to your liking. If you are making a big batch then blend and place in large bowl or pitcher first, then pour into single serve jars. That’s it! So easy. Line them up in the fridge and you have a healthy stash of goodness.
Mix and match your ingredients to find the flavors you like. Also you can use your pre-made green juice as a base for a smoothie and incorporate yogurt or berries and bananas to change it up. Another tip is to freeze green juice in an ice cube tray and plop a couple out to throw into your blended smoothie whenever you like. Once you create one batch, you will be hooked on how simple it is. Not to mention more cost effective, fresh and ultimately how nutritious it is for you.
Happy Juicing!
Cheers to 2025!
